Very important to invest into clean renewable energy however we need to keep in mind that we're not going to have it tomorrow. Therefore we need not lose sight of the need to clean our available green resources, drinking water, to ensure the needs of our water consumption; renewable energy will be vital for the time when desalination plants will be standard. I believe we should focus on researching how to safely pump salt water into the subsurfaces where the natural filtration process (percolation) over time will clean the water and recharge aquifers.
